PRINCETON — The 41st annual Elks Hoop Shoot contest in Princeton will take place on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Princeton Rec Center, conducted locally by Princeton Elks Lodge 1459. Signups start at 2 p.m. with the contest starting at 2:30. The event is free. Boys and girls, 8-13 years old, will compete separately in one of three age groups. Contest winners will be eligible for a regional state competition on Jan. 12 in Huntington. For more information, contact Hoop Shoot director Rick Miller at 304-487-6561 or the lodge at 304-425-4220.
