PRINCETON —
Tigers will roar through Princeton Monday.
Princeton-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for a parade saluting the Class AAA West Virginia championship Princeton Tigers, beginning at 6 p.m. Chamber officials said the event seemed an appropriate way to honor the perseverance and accomplishments of this special team of Princeton Senior High School Tigers.
The parade route is slated to start at the Fifth Street stoplight on Mercer Street, travel around the courthouse, continue down South Walker, then turn left onto Stafford Drive to end up at the high school, where a rally and presentations are slated.
Anyone wishing to participate in the parade with a unit conveying congratulations or support for the team, is asked to call the Chamber office to register as soon as possible at 304-487-1502, or e-mail pmccc@frontiernet.net.
