PRINCETON —
Founded in July 1906 by the late Hartley Sanders and maintained by his son, the late William H. Sanders II, the law firm of Sanders, Austin, Flanigan & Flanigan has served residents of the Mercer County area for 106 years.
Greg Prudich, one of six attorneys who belong to the firm said Friday, “We do general practice of law, including wills, property, criminal, domestic, personal injury, Social Security and Worker’s Comp.”
He added, “The firm’s philosophy of service is to try to help people in times of need and we take that really seriously. We all grew up here so, so we feel that we’re taking care of the community and the people we know.”
That philosophy, he said, came from both Hartley Sanders, the first City Attorney of Princeton and his son, William H. Sanders II, who was as much a community activist as he was an attorney, in addition to being a historian.
“We’re proud of the fact that we’ve been here for such a long time. William Sanders established such an example for a young attorney to follow and he guided a lot of us over the years, including two of our current Circuit Court judges (Derek Swope and Omar Aboulhosn) and (former State Supreme Court Justice) Warren McGraw. He was someone who took up causes that at the time were unpopular. He taught me a lot when I was a young attorney that was important. He was a remarkable man for whom I have great admiration,” he said.
Attorneys in the firm, in addition to Prudich, are Lane O. Austin, William Flanigan, Paige Flanigan, William H. Sanders III and Ryan J. Flanigan.
The firm located just off of Courthouse Road has 13 employees. It is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The phone number is 304-425-8125.
