Princeton acquiring new city hall tops 2012 news

PRINCETON — After a lengthy sometimes heated series of meetings which began the fall of 2011 a bond agreement was finally approved by the City Building Commission and a formal purchase agreement to buy the former Princeton Community Bank for use as the new Princeton City Hall.

The agreement which was formalized at the Building Commission's June 28th meeting with bank officials. Saw officials from both sides reach an agreement which involves a fixed interest rate of 2.952 percent for the next 15 years.
Mayor Pat Wilson said the move which would involve the city offices and the Police Department would hopefully be done in the next year.
In December plans for the new City Hall were presented to City Council by architect Todd Boggess.
