Mercer County Schools Menu Feb 18-22

PRINCETON — The menu for the Mercer County Schools for Feb. 18-22  includes the following lineup. Cost for adult breakfast: $2.85, adult lunch: $3.75. Student breakfast and lunch: no charge, milk only or extra milk: $0.25

Three components are to be taken by students from the menu. For nutritional information, contact the Child Nutrition Department of the Mercer County Board of Education at 304-487-1551, ext. 255.

• Feb. 18 - President’s Day - No School

• Feb. 19 - Cafeteria breakfast: apple strudel or hot oatmeal, cheddar cheese stick, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: apple strudel, cheddar cheese stick, juice, milk. Lunch: spaghetti alfredo w/chicken, broccoli, orange-glazed carrots, blueberry muffin, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Feb. 20 - Cafeteria breakfast: sausage and pancake on a stick or cold cereal and toast, fresh fruit, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: sausage and pancake on a stick, fresh fruit, milk. Lunch: beef nachos, Spanish rice, refried beans, steamed mixed vegetables, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Feb. 21 - Cafeteria breakfast: Egg and cheese wrap or cold cereal and muffin, fresh fruit, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: breakfast taco with fresh fruit, milk. Lunch: macaroni, cheese and ham, green beans, sweet herb baked tomatoes, wheat rolls, fruit in juice, fresh fruit, milk.

• Feb. 22 - Cafeteria breakfast:  banana bread or cold cereal and yogurt, fresh fruit, milk. Breakfast in the classroom:  peanut butter and jelly on wheat (peanut free schools: maple waffle), fresh fruit, milk. Lunch: cheeseburger, seasoned potato wedges, Caesar salad, crunchy carrots and celery, cherry Jell-O® w/fruit, fresh fruit, milk.
