Food Check-out Day

PRINCETON — Mercer County Farm Bureau is sponsoring the annual Food Check-Out Day, Feb. 1 and 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., by collecting food and donating it to the Ronald McDonald House located in Charleston.

Non-perishable food items and cash donations will be accepted at the following grocery stores: Grants Supermarket locations in Princeton, Glenwood, Athens Crossroads, and Green Valley; and the Kroger in Brushfork/Bluewell location.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment in Southern and Western West Virginia. The food collected will be used to help feed families staying at the home. Monetary donations will be used to purchase additional foods and supplies.
