Mercer County Schools Menu Jan 7-11

PRINCETON — The menu for the Mercer County Schools for Jan 7-11 includes the following lineup. Cost for adult breakfast is $2.85; adult lunch is $3.75. There is no charge for student breakfast or lunch. Extra milk or milk only costs 25 cents each.

Three components are to be taken by students from the menu. For nutritional information, contact the Child Nutrition Department of the Mercer County Board of Education at 304-487-1551, ext. 255.

• Jan 7 - Cafeteria breakfast: egg-and-cheese wrap or cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: egg-and-cheese wrap, fresh fruit, milk. Lunch: beef tacos, Spanish rice, refried beans, tossed salad, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Jan. 8 - Cafeteria breakfast: blueberry bagel w/strawberry cream cheese or cold cereal, cheddar cheese stick, fruit, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: blueberry mini loaf, cheddar cheese stick, fruit or juice, milk. Lunch: pork riblet sandwich, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, steamed carrots, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Jan. 9 - Cafeteria breakfast: sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast pizza or cold cereal and muffin, fresh fruit, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: fruit-and-oat breakfast bar, juice, milk. Lunch: chili cheese dog on a bun (2 dogs 9-12 grades), romaine lettuce salad, green beans, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Jan. 10 - Cafeteria breakfast: maple waffle or cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: maple waffle, strawberry Gogurt®, fresh fruit or juice, milk. Lunch: spaghetti w/meat sauce, mixed green salad, steamd broccoli, garlic bread, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.

• Jan. 11 - Cafeteria breakfast: breakfast pizza or cold cereal, yogurt,  juice, milk. Breakfast in the classroom: wheat bagel w/cream cheese, juice or fresh fruit, milk (K-5); egg and cheese wrap, banana, milk (PSHS).  Lunch: roast chicken, hush puppies, baked sweet potato, Ceasar salad, cherry tomatoes, fresh fruit, fruit in juice, milk.
